31 Oct Stuffed peppers special Halloween
We are approaching the eve of Halloween and we wanted to create a special recipe for tonight. Prepare these spooky stuffed pumpkin-style peppers for Halloween and surprise your guests. Trick or Treat?
INGREDIENTS (for 2 people):
- 2 peppers (We have used oranges, to make them similar to pumpkin)
- 250 gr. of minced meat
- Half large onion.
- 3 mushrooms
- Grated cheese.
- White wine
- 1 clove garlic.
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper.
To start, finely chop the onion and garlic. The mushrooms are washed and also chopped. In a pan with a splash of oil we begin to brown the garlic, taking care not to burn. After a few minutes add the onion and continue sautéing. Next we add the mushrooms and follow the process.
When the vegetables are sautéed, add the minced meat. Season with salt, add a little white wine and mix with a wooden spoon until the meat is crumbled and take some color.
We prepare the peppers. Wash them and cut off the lid. Vacíalos and extracts all the seeds. With a knife draw the face (to your liking!) And make small cuts on the sides and by all to help them to cook better.
With the oven preheated to 190ºC, heat up and down, we started to assemble our stuffed peppers.
Start by adding a layer of sautéed meat, alternating with a cheese that you like the most. We have opted for 3 cheese cheeses (Curado, Emmental and Edan). When the pepper is full, add a little more cheese on top.
Pour some olive oil over the peppers and place them in the oven for about 45 minutes.
